Bio

Kevin DeFeo is a northwest NJ based singer/songwriter in the country genre. He is a NJ native with deep southern roots. His formative years were spent listening to classic country (mom), doo-wop (dad) and outlaw country during each summer's extended vacations to Flatwoods, TN. Those vacations grew into a deep love and appreciation for country music and country life which is reflected in his music.

Kevin's songwriting style has been described as heartfelt, truthful storytelling with a healthy dose of wit and humor. His work is presented in a relaxed style where the lyrics are heard and understood. He writes about real life topics such as heartache, patriotism, relationships, whisky, working and remembrance. His influences include Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr. & Jr. among a variety of classic country, bluegrass, outlaw country and Americana artists.

Kevin DeFeo is equally comfortable performing original and cover material in any setting. He has performed in songwriter showcases, festivals, fundraisers and has appeared in several of the Acoustic Singer and Songwriter Series shows around NJ. In addition to opening for well-known local bands such as The Atlanta Cafe Band and Kinderhook, he has also opened for national touring artist Madeline Smith, CMA Artist Nikki Briar and Commander Cody. Kevin released his first EP “Just Me” in February 2019.
